About Anew Toy
Anew was born out of a simple but powerful realization: more than 150 million stuffed toys end up in landfills every year—most of them still filled with love, character, and life left to give.
When I learned this, I looked at the mountain of stuffies at my local secondhand store—and I saw an opportunity for quiet rebellion. Kids don’t care that stuffies aren't “new.” They cared that they were soft, cuddly, and full of personality. They see magic, not packaging.
Because all matter, matters.
When we ignore what we’re creating—what it’s made of, how it’s made, where it will end up—we contribute to a cycle that our children will inherit. At Anew, we want to lead by example. We believe in reusing what’s already here. In giving beautiful things another circulation. In mending what’s broken. In saying no to new, when enough already exists.
Every child deserves the hug of a stuffed animal. And if you’ve found your way here, I know—like me—you probably had a stuffy that made you feel safe, seen, and deeply loved. Those feelings are real. And they leave a lasting imprint on a child’s sense of comfort and security.
At Anew, we rescue, revive, and rehome preloved plush with the reverence they deserve.
Because love should be passed on—not thrown away.
